Art Cousins and his sons Donald and Brian have been farming potatoes in Baltic since the late 1990’s.

Cavendish Farms 

Cavendish Farms is a producer of frozen potato products for retail, restaurant and institutional consumption. Cavendish Farms also grows potatoes and employs 650 people in the Kensington North area.

Cobbs Little Farms 

Cobbs Little Farms is a dairy and beef farm owned and operated by Donald Cobb and family of Springbrook.

Cousins Seed Cleaning

Cousins Seed Cleaning of Darnley has been doing custom grain cleaning in the Kensington North area for three generations.

Graham’s Deep-sea Fishing 

Graham’s Deep-sea Fishing operates out of Stanley Bridge in the summer months. Captain Marvin Graham has been fishing along our North Shore since 1998.

Indian River Farms

Indian River Farms is a major potato growing operation centred in the Baltic River watershed. It is owned by Mary Jean Irving.

Island Beach Homeowners Association 

The Island Beach Homeowners Association is a not-for-profit organisation formed in 1992 to represent the homeowners of the Island Beach properties.

K Town Auto has been a supplier of automotive, marine and industrial parts and accessories in the Kensington area since 1997.

Kensington and Area Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber is a Non-Profit organization of business people and corporations established with the objective to promote and improve trade and commerce, and the economic, civil, and social welfare of Kensington and the surrounding Communities. The Chamber works hard to promote the interest of the business community to Government and the communities at large.

Kensington Agricultural Services 

Kensington Agricultural Services provides sales, parts and service to a wide range of agricultural and residential machine products including major manufacturers such as New Holland and Kubota.

The County Line Courier Community Newspaper is locally owned and operated and has been published by Mike and Isabel Smith for the past 23 years. Our paper also serves communities across the North Shore as well as all of the Greater Kensington, Freetown and Kinkora areas.

Mull Na Beinne Farms

Mull Na Beinne Farms Ltd. is a crop and livestock farm owned and operated by Vernon and Bertha Campbell. They grow a variety of crops, including potatoes, corn, barley, soybeans, oats and forages. They raise both dairy and beef cattle. Mull Na Beinne is a Gaelic phrase for ‘Pretty Little Farm on the Hill’.

Rural Municipality of Malpeque Bay 

The Rural Municipality of Malpeque Bay was incorporated in 1973. It includes the seven school districts of Baltic, Darnley, Hamilton, Indian River, Malpeque, Sea View and Spring Valley.

Sharpe Construction Ltd. 

Sharpe Construction Ltd. was formed in 1978. Whether it’s a renovation project or new construction, Elwin Sharpe and his son Levi believe in a long term relationship with their clients, not a “build today and gone tomorrow” state of mind. They stand behind their projects 100%.

Sterling Murphy Trucking

Sterling Murphy Trucking is owned Sterling Murphy of Sea View. They transport potatoes, and other produce.

Thompson Well Drilling Ltd.

Thompson Well Drilling is a family owned business started in 1994 by Carl & Norma Thompson. In 2000 the company expanded into the installation of geothermal heat pumps. In 2008 they moved into their new location on the Old Summerside Road just west of Kensington. Thompson Well Drilling is proud of the quality of service they deliver to their clients.

Thompson’s Backhoeing and Trucking operates out of New Annan and Grand River. They can do a wide range of heavy equipment jobs.

Kensington was founded in 1824. Its businesses and schools service the Kensington North Watersheds area.
